Wisconsin Pewter Design and Casting
I start by carving the object from wood or wax, then use this to make a mold, then melt and pour the pewter, then trim, file and polish the finished product. All this work is done by hand in Wisconsin.

Handmade Pewter Measuring Spoons

Handmade Pewter Mjolnir Pendant, made in USA
This fine Mjolnir pendant features the end view of the Oseberg Viking ship on the front and back. Made using the traditional casting method, I designed and then carved the pendant from a wax block and then I make a new mold out of sand for each pendant that I cast by hand in my Wisconsin studio. Made from USA sourced R95 Pewter. After being cast they are filed , polished and finished. Fitted with a leather neck strap.
With my Swedish and Danish heritage I have an interest in Nordic mythology and have enjoyed seeing the Oseberg ship in Olso. I am a sailor and boat builder and wanted a Mjolnir with the theme of a Viking longboat so I made this piece for myself and now offer it to you.
Mjolnir pendants were commonly worn by men during the Viking age and have been found in excavations across Northern Europe.
Mjolnir is Thors mighty hammer and was made by the dwarves Brokki and Eitri. As written in the Prose Edda: “Then he (Brokki) gave Thor the hammer and said he would be able to strike as heavily as he liked, whatever the target, and the hammer would not fail, and if he threw it at something, it would never miss, and never fly so far that it would not find its way back to his hand, and if he liked, it was so small that it could be kept inside his shirt.”
